Jason Lee McCall, of Brevard, NC, passed away June 26, 2014, while stationed at Ft. Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was a Specialist in the United States Army's 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division.
He was born in Brevard, NC, on January 27, 1990. He loved life, horses, music, singing and especially playing the guitar. He loved nature and camping. He had a gift for making people laugh and a smile that could light up a room. He was a daredevil and always had a snuggle for his mama.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Earle Galloway and stepfather M. Keith Galloway of Brevard; father, Elzie Keith McCall of Hot Springs; step-brother, Eli Galloway of Brevard; grandmother, Lavonda Blackwell of Brevard; great-grandparents, Hershel and Margo Galloway of Brevard; aunt, Kim (Arthur) Bartlett-Bloomer of Jacksonville, FL; aunt, Sally Ann Loflin of Brevard; uncle, Donald (Marguerite) Barrett of Virginia; uncles Larry (Angel) McCall of Hot Springs, NC; Plato (June) McCall of Brevard; Rodney (Karen) McCall of Florence, SC; aunts, Freda (Ray) Martin of Lake Toxaway; Brenda (Harry) Pierson of Brevard; and Debbie (Andy) Rigdon of Brevard. He leaves many devoted friends and loving family members.
The family wishes to thank all those who have shown such love and concern in helping the Galloway and McCall families through their time of grief.

A military service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with visitation to follow from 6:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10th, at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home in Brevard.
