Jean Emory Poindexter, 80, of Brevard passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Flemm and Maud Hale Emory. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Edwin L. Poindexter. Mrs. Poindexter was a registered nurse before becoming a homemaker and mother. She was member of First Baptist Church of Brevard and a strong supporter of Silvermont. Surviving are her son David Poindexter and wife Tung of Fayetteville, NC. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Friday, April 10, 2015 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tommy Owen and Tommy Crocker officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory at 3:30pm. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service.
