Jeanne Peterson Landreth of Pisgah Forest, NC gained her heavenly wings on Friday, April 28, 2023, and had just celebrated her 81st birthday on April 18, 2023.

She was one of eight surviving children of the late Macie Wells Peterson and James Manuel Peterson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Denny Landreth, who was her high school sweetheart. She was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Margaret "Beth" Landreth, her great-granddaughter, Belle, her brothers, Frank A. Peterson, John Howard Peterson as well as her sisters, Jimmie Peterson Loftis Ferguson and Donnie Madden.

Survivors include her son, James "Patrick" Landreth and his wife, Beth C. Landreth. Her son-in-law Cory Davis. Her grandchildren, Ali Landreth and Kayden Landreth, Logan Sales, Ansley Sales and Taylor Sales. Her great-grandchildren, Alex, Carter, Annalise Denni, Isabella and Charley Landreth, all of whom she loved so very much! She is also survived by her siblings, Roann Peterson Balding (Arvil), Charlie Peterson (Beverly), and Myra Kay Peterson Powell (Gary). She was blessed with many nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own.

Jeanne was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, Nanna and friend to so many. She had a special gift to make all feel welcomed and loved. She loved her family and enjoyed seeing everyone happy. She was hard-working, dedicated and devoted to her career in the maintenance department at both Ecusta and Brevard College, where she was well-loved and respected by all.

She loved any opportunity to "cut a rug" with Denny. The two of them could shag like no other and loved to dance at any opportunity. Jeanne was a bird enthusiast, where later in life the birds, especially our beautiful cardinals, gave her a sense of peace and comfort daily. She was a woman of great Faith, and she spoke of it often. Her prayer was for all to know Jesus and to have a relationship with Him.

Please join our family in celebrating her beautiful life with a service on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church on Osborne Road in Brevard. Burial will follow at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m.
