Pisgah Forest – Jerry Lynn Netherton, 75, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at The Oaks of Brevard. A native of Henderson County, he was the son of the late Arthur and Gussie Brown Netherton. Mr. Netherton was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Surviving are his wife, Altha Fisher Netherton; son, Landon Netherton and wife Velina of Pisgah Forest; daughter, Paula Derene Bracken and husband James of Brevard; grandchildren, Luke and Leah. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, February 20, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Mission with the Revs. Ronald Price and Wayne Owen officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory with military graveside rites conducted by the North Carolina National Guard and the Honor Guard for Veterans of Transylvania County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
