Jessie Faye Woods, 82, of Brevard, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012. A native of Transylvania County, she was born March 16, 1930 to the late Robert L. Tritt and Dora Jane Smith Tritt. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Brevard. Along with her parents, Mrs. Woods is preceded in death by her husband Jesse Woods, two sisters; Dora Mae Brown and Mary Ellen Woody, and three brothers, Robert Henry Tritt, James Tritt and John Tritt. Mrs. Woods is survived by her children, Donald Woods and wife Judy of Apex, NC, Bobby Woods of Brevard, Cecil Woods and wife Anne of Stoneville, NC, and Judy W. Harmon and husband Mike of Eden, NC; sister Frances Reece of Pisgah Forest, two brothers, William Tritt and wife Margie of Balsam Grove and Edward Tritt of Pisgah Forest; grandchildren Briana Woods of Apex, NC, Rusty Strong of Norfolk, VA, Chris Strong of Deerfield, WI, and Sarah Bennett of Norfolk, VA, Rocky Harmon of Eden, NC, Elyce Harmon of Greensboro, NC; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Moore officiating. Burial will be in Boylston Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, June 12, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
