Jewel Victoria Shelton, 88, of Rosman, NC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Born in Rosman, NC, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Nettle Chappell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Coy Shelton, son, Waybern Shelton, sister Ophilla Galloway, brothers, Arnold, Donald, Claude, Ralph and Melvin Chappell and a grandson Travis Galloway. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her Sunday dinners that always brought the family together and the amount of love she showed all of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters Rita Searcy and husband Ronnie of Brevard, NC and Linda Wright and husband Bill of Asheville, NC, five sons, Paul Shelton of Rosman, Benny Shelton of Rosman, Terry Shelton and wife Maryann of Brevard NC, Troy Shelton and wife Lisa of Easley, SC, and Tim Shelton and wife Renee of Lake Toxaway, NC , one sister, Gennelle Mccall, one brother, Junior Chappell and several grandchildren, great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1pm on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Moody Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
