Jimmy Eli Lance, of Rosman, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 3, 2024.

Mr. Lance was a native of Transylvania County and was the son of the late Frank and Reba Clayton Lance. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Rosemary Wick, and Barbara Rigsby, and one brother, Charles Lance.

Mr. Lance was a Veteran, serving in the US Army. He served as a Rosman Town Alderman for four years and worked at M.B. Industries for over 40 years. He was a member of Rosman Church of God where he had served as Sunday School Superintendent. Mr. Lance loved his church and his family. He loved the Lord most of all.

He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Maxine Queen Lance. They were married on October 13, 1963. Also surviving are three children, Tina Pressley (Tim), Michael Lance (Casey), and Joey Lance (Mary); three siblings, Ellen Leopard (Gerald), Eloise Mooneyham (Mike), Eddie Lance (Hettie); seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 2pm, Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the Rosman Church of God with the Rev. Mike Pressley officiating.
