Joann Perkins Golden, 73, of Brevard, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at The Oaks of Brevard. Born in Rock Hill, S.C ., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Exa Perkins, and was the wife of the late Jack Bennie Golden, who died in 2008. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are her sons, Mark E. Golden and Greg Golden and wife, Sasha, all of Brevard; brother, Charles Perkins, of Las Vegas, Nev .; grandchildren, Benjamin, Johnathan, Nathan, and Dakota Golden. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Calvary Baptist Church in Brevard, with Rev. Stephen Moore officiating.
