Joanna Pearl Tracy, 76, of Brevard, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013. She was born November 10, 1936 in Cambridge, Mass.to the late Perley Dewey and Victoria Weeder Dewey. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, Samuel T. Tracy, Jr., her brother William H. Dewey, and sisters Geraldine Rock and Jacqueline Garret Survivors include four children: Samuel T. Tracy, III, and his wife Iris, Joanna V. Sevcik and her husband Bruce, Katherine A. Tracy and John T. Tracy and his wife Debra; grandchildren Samuel T. Tracy, IV, Joanna E. Jones, Susan A. Sevcik, James J. Sevcik and Joseph W. Sevcik; Jonathan H. Hataway, Kaelah A. Hataway, Robert Self, Melissa Robinson, sixteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members she greatly loved. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Brevard. Father Andrew Nowak will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
