John Wallace Brewer Rosman – John Wallace Brewer, 85, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late James Allen Brewer and Pearl Ella Mae Kinsey Brewer and was the husband of the late Ruby Whitmire Brewer. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Gordon, Donald, and Eugene Brewer, and a sister, Leona Brewer. Mr. Brewer had attended Whitewater Baptist Church and he was a former Transylvania County Deputy Sheriff. Surviving are his brothers, Richard Edwin Brewer of Whitehall, MI, Harry Brewer of Yadkinville, NC, Gary Brewer of Cashiers, NC, Ronnie Felix Brewer of Spruce Pine, NC; sisters, Dora Marie Rice and husband Doyle of Cashiers, Shirley Patricia Rice of Glenville. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Dodson, Rev. Tommy Owen, and Rev. Bobby Howard officiating.
