Rosman - John Cyrus Chapman, born October 20, 1925, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 7, 2021.

He was the son of the late Margie Chapman. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Iva Lee Anders Chapman, sister and brother in law, Opal and Bill Hall, sons in law, Jack Whitmire, David Jarrett, David Cantrell and Jimmy Miller, great-granddaughter, Brittany Bogle, ; granddaughter in law, Patty Bogle, nephew Roger Hall.

After serving in both the Navy and Army, JC worked at Olin Matheson until his retirement. He also owned and operated the laundry mats in Rosman. He served 18 years as a Town of Rosman Alderman. Upon his retirement, he spent the majority of his time with his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

JC is survived by his 6 daughters, Sandy Bogle, Susan Whitmire, Patty Jarrett, Cathy Cantrell, Sherry Ponder (Joey Ponder), Debbie Miller, 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, 2 nephews and 2 nieces.

Graveside services will be held 2pm, Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
