John Filbert Huggins age 74, of Rosman died Saturday August 18, 2012 at his residence. He was born January 13, 1938 to the late John Marshall Huggins and Ethel Aiken Huggins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son: Glen Curtis Huggins and one brother; Charles Marshall Huggins. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife Betty Broom Huggins, one daughter; Sharon Marie Goforth and her husband Brian, two grandchildren; Donnovan Mullins and Brieanna Mullins and two step grandchildren; Austin Goforth and Kristen Goforth. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday August 22, 2012 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Ray Von Galloway. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Rosman.
