Pisgah Forest – John Lewis Landreth, 80, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at his residence.
A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late D. C. and Addie Lee McCrary Landreth, Sr. He was also in preceded in death by his sisters, Katie Rogers, Alice Galloway, and Louise Owen, and his brothers, D. C. Landreth, Jr., Martin Landreth, Russell Landreth, and Willie Landreth.
Mr. Landreth was a member of Enon Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, and he was retired from Olin Corp. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an avid hunter.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian Moore Landreth; daughter, Dianne Gillespie of Pisgah Forest; sons, Dan Landreth, and Steve Landreth and wife Debbie all of Pisgah Forest; brothers, Richard Landreth and wife Eula of Brevard, and Bob Landreth and wife Nelda of Pisgah Forest; grandchildren, Michael Morgan, Brandon and Landon Morgan, Chris Landreth, Stephanie Connor, and Daniel Landreth; great-grandchildren, Cole Morgan, Bella Morgan, Jonathan Landreth, and Kylie and Addison Landreth.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Enon Baptist Church with the Revs. Tommy Madden, Mike Mann, and Tommy Owen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
