John Hubert McCall Lake Toxaway – John Hubert McCall, 83, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at his residence. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Jason Plato McCall and Dora Ann Owen McCall. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Toby, one sister and six brothers. Mr. McCall was a member and Deacon of Macedonia Baptist Church. He worked for Mac Heating and Air for over fifty years and was an avid outdoorsman and gardener. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Ruby Miller McCall; daughter, June McCall Middleton and husband Mike of Lake Toxaway; sons, Jimmy McCall and wife Leona, Steve McCall and wife Judy, and Tony McCall all of Lake Toxaway; brothers, Vess McCall and wife Bobbie and Curtis McCall and wife Lottie all of Brevard; grandchildren, Amy, Sara, Melissa, Jimmy, Leah, Johnathan, Kim, Mahala, Kevin, Kayley, and Krissy; great-grandchildren, Tori, Lexi, Rylee, Kelsee, Avery, Ashley, Blake, Blane, Brady, Beau, Brooklyn, Brianna, Koltt, Kynna, Paisley, and Ali; great-great granddaughter, Anna. The funeral services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, October 26, 2013 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Hensley and Rev. Claude Nicolson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Quebec. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 PM Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Lake Toxaway, NC or to TRH Hospice.
