Obituary

John Cecil "J.C." Pressley, age 88 of Brevard, went to be with the Lord the evening of Friday, November 8, 2019. He was born on August 27, 1931 in Transylvania County to the late Houston Pressley and Lyda Perry. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by infant son John Reginald Pressley. J.C. was a veteran, who served time in the United States Army from January 1953 through February 1955 during the Korean War, then completed an additional 8 years in the Army Reserves. In regard to decorations and medals, J.C. received the National Defense Service Medal. He was known well in the Brevard community as an owner and automotive service technician of the late Shell station beside McDonalds on Asheville Hwy for 45 years until he retired in 2002. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Annie Jean Wilson Pressley, and three daughters, Gail Jones and husband Erwin of Laurens, S.C., Joyce Mull and husband Randy of Brevard, and Pamela Davis and husband Jeff of Brevard, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2pm, Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
