John Charles Sprouse, Sr., age 88, passed away September 12, 2009 after a long illness. He was a son of the late, James Edward and Edna Goforth Sprouse. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Sprouse and Junior Sprouse. He was the owner and operator of City Cab Company for many years. Survivors include; His wife of 66 years, Sadie Saxton Sprouse, of Brevard. Three sons, Johnny Sprouse and wife Debbie of Greenwood, SC, Richard "Buck" Sprouse, and wife Lynn, of Brevard, and Ray Sprouse, and wife Christina, of Sunset Beach, SC. Two daughters, Linda Gardner, of Brevard and Edna Mulenax, and husband Steve, of Pisgah Forest. Three Brothers, Bobby Joe, Onald, and Donald Sprouse, all of Brevard. One Sister, Elizabeth Johnson, of Brevard. Ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren, also survive. Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Moody-Connolly Funeral Home is assisting the family.
