John Albert Suttles, age 97 of Horse Shoe formerly of Brevard, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022.

Mr. Suttles was born on July 26, 1925, in Rutherford County, NC to the late William and Leoda Rippey Suttles. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Gladys, two sisters, Mary Banks and Annie Owen, and two brothers, Charles and William Suttles.

Mr. Suttles was a WW II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He had worked as a mechanic at McCrary Chevrolet in Brevard for 48 years.

Survivors include two sons, Alvin Suttles of Mills River, and Johnny Suttles and wife Sharon of Horse Shoe; one sister, Betha Lee; one brother, Kenneth Suttles; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Big Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, 4536 Big Ridge Rd., Glenville, NC.
