John William White Sr. (Bill) was born on May 27, 1940 and passed on Oct 13, 2021. He had two sisters along with their mother Ruth Bradshaw White and father James William White. Born in Dothan, Alabama, the family eventually moved to Tampa Florida. Bill graduated from Florida State University, with a degree in Culinary Arts and Hotel/Restaurant management. He found employment in Chicago where he was an assistant manager at O'Hare Airport in Dobbs House Airline Catering. While in the city he was introduced by a friend to his Fiancé Ellie. They married and moved back to Florida. They opened a cafeteria in Treasure Island Florida. After some time in the restaurant business his mother Ruth recommended that he go back to school to get his master's degree in business. Designing a culinary arts curriculum complete with a kitchen and dining room, Bill taught at Northeast High School. After raising a family and teaching his culinary arts class for nineteen years, he retired to spend the cooler months in Florida and the warmer Florida months with his wife in the mountains of Brevard North Carolina. After reaching the age of seventy-nine, he began to struggle with Aphasia. After two rough years he passed as the result of a heart attack at his home with his wife beside him. Bill will be missed by his family and friends both northern and southern. May God keep him safe in His embrace.
