Joseph (Joey) Douglas Parker, 43, of Mills River, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 3, 2023.

Joey was a happy, go lucky quy who didn't have an enemy in the world and didn't know a stranger.

Joey cared about people in the purest way. He loved them for who they were. What you saw was always what you got with him, and what you saw was a smiling, delightful, generous, easy-going fun-loving human beinq

He was "the life of the party" and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Joey was preceded in death by his loving wife and soulmate, Candace Parker.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Parker of Flat Rock, parents Kevin and Susie Curtis of Mills River and Mark Parker of Barnardsville, his brother, Jon Parker (Brooke ) of Candler, sister, Felicia Walton (Chance) of Pisgah Forest, many cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, and uncles.

A memorial service for Joey will be held at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home in Brevard, NC at 5: PM on Thursday, February 9, 2023. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
