IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph Brandon
Whitmire
September 14, 1989 – August 1, 2024
Brandon Whitmire, 34, passed away on August 1, 2024.
Brandon was the son of Vaughn and Sandy Whitmire. Survivors include his parents; grandparents Joe Whitmire and wife Carole, grandparents Jimmy Ashworth and wife Joyce, sister Megan and husband Tim Smith, aunt Cheryl Childers (Michael), aunt Connie McGaha (Mark), aunt Amy Ball (Michael)and cousins Daniel, Madi, Wes, and Spencer. He was blessed to have many caring friends. He was preceded in death by his cousin Kelsey, uncle Ronnie, and grandmother Mattie.
He was employed at Connestee Falls, and he loved working there. He was very talented in many areas, from construction to computers, and was a very good photographer. He enjoyed working on vehicles, hiking, fishing, and anything outdoors. He enjoyed collecting pocketknives, working with leather, and he loved the old Jeep he drove daily.
Brandon gave his life to the Lord at First Baptist in Brevard, where he was a previous youth leader, and became the youngest deacon that's ever been ordained there. He was active in Missions and was willing to go wherever the need was.
He was a very kind, giving person, and was the shoulder everyone else seemed to lean on in times of hardship. If there was a job to do or an emergency with family or friends, Brandon would step up without being asked. He had the unique ability to listen and respond with advice and words of wisdom that far exceeded his actual age. Brandon was a perfectionist in all that he did and would never settle for less than the best he could do. He loved to laugh and had a smile that would light up a room.
Brandon leaves behind a legacy of giving, loving, and laughter, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. This would truly be a loss that we could not recover from, except for the knowledge that Brandon is now home; he's at the feet of his blessed Savior Jesus, free from the worries and heartaches that overwhelmed him here. in this short life.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Grace Baptist Church, 10 West Holden Rd., Brevard, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
