Josephine Quillen, age 77, of Brevard passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 48 years Marion, daughter Norlina, son-in-law William, three granddaughters Hannah, Meredith, Isabelle and four siblings John, William, Robert and Emma Jane. Mrs. Quillen was born in Tulare, California, grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, worked for the C.I.A while living in Cheverly, Maryland and retired to Brevard, North Carolina. She could speak Spanish and Portuguese. While living in Brevard she was a member of the Sacred Heart Lady's Guild, the Sacred Heart craft group, the Children For Camp committee, the Little River Potpourri Club, co-coordinator and active participant in the Little River Roadside litter pick up, member and historian for the Pisgah Forest Farms Property Association, and a member of the Pisgah Forest Fire Wise Fire prevention committee. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home, 181 S. Caldwell St., Brevard, NC. Funeral services will be conducted by Father Shawn O'Neal at 11 AM Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 150 Brian Berg Lane, Brevard, NC. A reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall following the funeral service.
