Brevard – Joy Sandra Mitchell O'Dell, 79, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016. Born in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late Arthur William Mitchell and Helen Cynthia King Mitchell and was the wife of the late Willard "Buddy" O'Dell. She was also preceded in death by a brother, William A. Mitchell. Mrs. O'Dell was a member of Cathey's Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Ecusta Corp. Survivors include her daughters, Sheila Z. Pravlik and husband Gary J. Pravlik of Raleigh, NC, Robin Z. Chenery of Danville, VA, and Sharon Z. Vincent and husband Bob Vincent of Cary, NC; step-daughter, Teresa Hughey; brothers, Roy Mitchell and wife Sari of Tampa, FL, and Charles Mitchell and wife Norma of Columbia, MO; sister, Sherry M. Ledford and husband Dale of Kinards, SC; sister-in-law, Joan Mitchell; granddaughters, Amanda Carlton and Elizabeth Long; great-granddaughters, Madeline Carlton and Lila Scott. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
