Pisgah Forest – Joyce Moses Alexander, 84, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2012 at her residence. A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Olney Edison Moses and Dessie Alveda Ammons Moses. She was also preceded in death by her son, Danny Alexander, and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Alexander was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church and was an avid Bingo player. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Russell W. Alexander; sister, Hester Castleberry of Marysville, CA; grandchildren, Stephanie Alexander Clay, Brandy Morrow, and Russell Wayne Alexander all of Georgia; 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Turkey Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Whitfield officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
