Rosman - Joyce Suddeth, 82, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024  after a brief illness.

Preceding her in death were her brother, Doug Powell, daughter Linda Suddeth, son Jeff Suddeth, and granddaughter Charity Worley.

Joyce, the daughter of Roy and Dalice Gravley Meece, was born in Transylvania County on January 28, 1942. She attended Rosman High School and retired from Mitchell-Bissell Industries. She had a creative mind and enjoyed gardening, baking, and flower arranging. She was also a skilled genealogist and enjoyed researching local history. Joyce was a member of Zion Baptist Church and known for her kindness-she was always ready to lend a hand, cook a meal, or help in any way she could. She had a generous spirit and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by brothers Harry and Steve Powell, sons Robby and Tim Suddeth, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Zion Baptist Church in Rosman on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm, with the service immediately following at 2:00 pm.
