Penrose - Judith S Turner, age 77 passed away at home on Tuesday May 6th after a brief illness.

Judy, as she preferred to be called, was born on March 28, 1948 to Roger and Helen Sonnemann.

Judy's favorite role was that as a Nana. She treasured her time with her grandchildren and never failed to show up at any of their events or having one on one lunches with them.

Judy had a soft spot for her dog, Zip who was by her side when she passed. She always thought of others and worked as a nurse and medical transcriptionist.

She was a member of Covenant PCA in Hendersonville and had no fear of dying and being with Jesus, her Lord and Savior. She devoted her time and energy to PEO and volunteering at St. Phillip's thrift shop.

She is survived by her only child Kristen Gillem and her husband Joshua and her three beloved grandchildren: Hannah, Leah, and Andrew. Also survived by her brother David Sonnemann.
