Judy L. Welborn Miller, of Brevard, passed away on Thursday, March 17th, 2011. She was the daughter of the late James Bolt Welborn and Frances Young Welborn. Judy was born on November 8th, 1948 in Asheville and spent her youth there. She moved to Brevard in 1969 and resided there since. She is survived by her children, Terry Miller of Brevard, Christy Shipman of Brevard, and Jay Miller and his wife Becky of Brevard. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Cassandra Miller, Corey Miller, Cameron Miller, Angel Miller, Chloe Miller, Gracie Miller, Trevor Shipman, Savannah Shipman, Hunter Shipman, Tori Miller, and Logan Miller, and one great-grandchild, Caiden Dallas Miller. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 24, 2011 in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. At Judy's request, dress is casual and tie dye t-shirts would be preferred. In addition to flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
