Brevard – Judy Queen, 68, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Roy Lee and Evelyn Elizabeth Dayton Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers; Ray and Harold Mills. Judy was a member of Pisgah Forest Baptist Church. She enjoyed her church family and spent many years teaching preschool Sunday School. She also enjoyed volunteering at Pisgah Forest Elementary School while her granddaughters were there. Judy adored her family. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, caring sister, doting grandmother and a special friend. Surviving are her husband of 50 years; Guy Queen of Brevard, daughters; Angela Wimberly and husband Phil of Hurdle Mills, NC and Sherri Owen of Pisgah Forest, sisters; Barbara Massey and Husband Wayne of Bethel, NC and Wanda Garrett and Husband Gene of Hendersonville, NC, grandchildren; Jacob, Sam, Ellie, Rachel and Emily. A Celebration of Life will be held 2pm, Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Pisgah Forest Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pisgah Forest Baptist Church preschool program, 494 Hendersonville Hwy, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768.
