Hendersonville - June Leatherwood Greer, 85, formerly of Brevard, died Saturday, January 8, 2011. A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late John and Bonnie Reese Leatherwood and was the wife of the late James Greer. Mrs. Greer was a member of Balfour Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Ellen Kent of N. Augusta, SC; sisters, Dixie Jones of Hendersonville, Virginia Stephenson of Etowah, and Judy Orr of Brevard; grandchildren, Franklin Kent, Jr., Scott Kent and Michelle Kent all of N. Augusta; great-grandchildren, Eddie Kent and Charlette Kent both of N. Augusta. The funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in the Chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Sherrill Moore officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
