Kathleen Lynn Duncan passed away February 3, 2023, at her home in Brevard, NC.

She was born in Rapid City, SD to Donald Mahlum and Carolyn Mahlum. Her father was career military, so she lived in Wisconsin, Nebraska, Alaska, Illinois, Florida , Virginia, and North Carolina. In 1979 she graduated from Mt Vernon High School, Alexandria, VA where she met her husband whom she married in 1983. She then moved to England for three years where they had two wonderful children.

She is survived by her mother Carolyn Mahlum of Brevard; sons Joey Duncan of Yorktown, VA and Craig Duncan of San Antonio, TX; grandsons Christian Duncan, Benjamin Duncan, and granddaughter Mackenzie Duncan; and her ex-husband George Duncan of Yorktown, VA.

She was preceded in death by her father Donald Mahlum; brother Ronald Mahlum; and sister Linda Huffman.

Her funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends starting at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
