Obituary

Kenneth Eugene McCall, 52 of Rosman died unexpectedly the evening of Monday April 2, 2012. He was born July 9, 1959 in Transylvania County to Edith Galloway McCall and the late Hubert Eugene McCall. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Dawn McCall; son, Chris Jiles McCall of Rosman and daughters, Lyndee McCall Rocha and Lory McCall Medina of Tampa, Florida; brothers Michael McCall of Balsam Grove and Dwayne McCall of Penrose; sisters Marsha Henderson and Cindy Ownbey of Balsam Grove; four grandsons, Gilbert, Oscar, Luis and Sergio Medina of Tampa, Florida; a niece and four nephews. Kenneth was a long time auto body repairman and also worked as a carpenter for T.H. Sanders Construction. He was well known for his love of motorcycles and enjoyed spending his spare time riding with his many friends. He was a loving husband and father and a friend to all and will be greatly missed by those who knew him. He leaves behind not only his family, but many friends whom he loved greatly. He was well known for his generosity, his quick smile and was often the first person to lend a hand to those in need. Although he leaves those who knew him with much sorrow, those who know and love him are assured that he has at last found a much deserved lasting peace, comfort and rest. A visitation was held on Wednesday April 4 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home in Brevard from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm On Thursday April 5 at Old Toxaway Baptist Church in Rosman and burial was in the Old Toxaway Baptist Church Cemetery following the service. Reverend Tony Lambert, a much admired friend of Mr. McCall lead the service. Pall bearers were Chris McCall, Michael McCall, Dwayne McCall, Sammy Galloway, Thad Sanders, Doyle Stubblefield, Tony Gravely and Michael Whitmire. Honorary pallbearers were Terry Galloway and James Sanders. Moody-Connolly Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
