Pisgah Forest – Kimberlyn Byrd Aldridge, 65, passed away on August 26, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones at the Elizabeth House, where she received wonderful and compassionate care.

Born and raised in Brevard, Kim built her life in the community she loved. She dedicated 45 years of service to Comporium before retiring. Outside of work, she was well-known for her passion for softball and her love of the outdoors.

Survivors include her parents, Jim and Leona Byrd; her sister, Alison Vaughn; daughters, Blair and Brandi Ashe; granddaughter, Gracelyn "Grace Bug" Jackson, her pride and joy; and nephew, Mason Vaughn (Brittney).

She will be remembered for her loyalty, hard-working spirit, and her deep love for family and friends.

A visitation to honor Kim's life will be held 2pm – 4pm, Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Elizabeth House, 581 S. Allen Rd, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
