Kristian D'ann Rathbone, 28, of Rosman passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Born February 4, 1996, in Transylvania County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Brian Rathbone and Lori Wylie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Athena Marie Patterson, grandparents, Keith and Shalma Rathbone and Rosemary and Eddie Wylie, Emery O'Shields, father of two of her children, great uncles, Llyod Smith, Philip Rathbone, and Cecil Rathbone.

Survivors include her sister Laura Rathbone Lively and husband Jonathan of Rosman; brother Marcus Morgan of Hendersonville; niece, Claire York of Rosman; children, Isaiah Keith Rigdon, Kayden Lee O'Shields, Ayvah' Lee O'Shields's, and Rose Leann Frady; Uncles, Brandon Rathbone and Trish of Balsam Grove, and Blair Rathbone of Burnsville; aunts, Deidre McCurry and husband Buddy of Balsam Grove, and Barbara Rathbone of South Carolina; cousins, Sammy "Squid" McCurry, Krystal Rathbone Lambert, Marci Rathbone, B.J Rathbone, Darren and Blake Rathbone; special friends Tad Rigdon, though not together but still cared for each other and shared a son, Isiah; Lori Rigdon looked at Kristian as a daughter and cared for her very deeply and her best friend, Sam Butler. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Cathey's Creek Community Center on December 1, 2024, at 2:00pm. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this time.
