Brevard - Landon Charles (L.C.) Owen, 86, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday Jan 10, 2024.

A lifelong resident of Transylvania County, L.C. was preceded in death by his wife, June Owen, son David Charles Owen, and mother, Ethel Kilpatrick. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Grace Galloway, Leona Kilpatrick Owen, Lola Owen Gravley, Francis Leopard, and brothers, Don Kilpatrick, and Leonard Owen.

L.C., lovingly known as "paw", was a kind hearted, hard working, family man. After retiring from Ecusta, his Sunday afternoons were spent with his whole family at Sunday Dinner. He was a caring husband, and a loving father and grandfather. He was a faithful member of Community Baptist Church in Brevard, and loved the Lord with his whole heart.

He is survived by his brother, Craig Kilpatrick; his sons, Donald Owen and wife Debbie, Lloyd Owen and wife Norma, and his daughters, Debbie Ward and husband Robbie, Darlene Leonard and husband Randy, and Michelle Galloway and husband Derrick.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kimberly Lawson(Chris), Wesley Ward(Christiana), Landon Leonard(Alicia), Kevin Leonard(Melissa), Michaela Owen, Jared Owen, Ray Owen(Patience), David Owen, Austin Galloway(Jennifer), Levi Galloway(Kenzie), and Riley Galloway. And his great grandchildren, Kiley, Gemma, Bentley, Tinsley, Leena, Jake, Sienna, Sam, Eli, Maddie, Bella, Sawyer, Koah  Chase, Austin, Chloe, and great great grandson Victor Leonard.

Funeral services will be held 2pm, Tuesday , January 16, 2024 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Raines officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow the service at the Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
