Larry Newman Bear Master Sargent Retired was called to his "Permanent Change of Station" Saturday July 2, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 63 years young. He was born in Norfolk Virginia to the late Harry and Edna Bonney Bear and had called Henderson County home for more then 20 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son James Bear of New Mexico. He leaves behind on son; Joey of Texas and one daughter; Suzanne Natividad of Texas and eleven grandchildren, three brothers; George of Deleware, Bob of Virginia, David of Georgia and one sister; Debbie of North Carolina. His "adopted" family include Bob and Sandy Hains and all their children and grandchildren in North Carolina and Kansas. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 9, 2011 at 2:00pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Tommy Owen. Interment will follow at Rock Bridge Cemetery.
