Brevard - Lavera L. (Bertsch) Roberts, 88, passed Saturday morning, Sept. 12, 2015, at Transylvania Regional Hospital. She was born in Elgin, IL, on Oct. 13, 1926 to the late Amos and Mary (Maller) Bertsch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Sylvan and Harry Bertsch and a sister, Viola Friedman. A 1944 graduate of Elgin High School, Lavera worked at Toastmaster in Elgin for 10 years and later worked as a sales analyst for Bud's company, Greggs - Roberts Appliance Company. Lavera is survived by her husband William E. "Bud" Roberts and sister, Goldie M. Stettner of Bluffton, IN. A funeral services will be held in Bluffton, IN. Burial will be at Apostolic Christian Cemetery also in Bluffton, IN. Memorial donations can be made to Christian Care Retirement Community.
