Layne Coleman Lee Jones

Layne Jones, beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend, age 16, went to be with the Lord on August 25th, 2024, in an accident. He was born on November 15, 2007.  Layne loved being with friends and especially family. He LOVED fishing, riding dirt bikes, playing football, and making everyone around him laugh and smile. He attended Rosman High School and would have been a junior this year. Layne loved making people smile with his silly faces and his goofy jokes. If anyone could jerk a smile out of you, it would be Layne. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and his best friend, his dog, Kya.

Layne is survived by his parents, Samantha and Troy Jones, Sister, Sydney Jones (Canon Clayton), Sister, Jasmyne Jones (Gabe Frady), Sister, Sterling Owen (Derek Owen), Brother Bryce Jones (Ashton Jones) and his Nieces, Macy Jones, Mallory Frady, Salem Clayton, and his nephews, Jackson and Jenson Owen, and Nash Jones. He is also survived by his grandparents Brandon and Kay Jones, and Debbie and Fred Kinsey.

Layne's visitation will be held on August 31, 2024, from 11:00am-1:30 pm with a funeral service following at 2:00pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held immediately after at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Lake Toxaway, NC.
