– Leila Armildred Mitchell, 74, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013. A native of Transylvania County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Enoch and Mildred McGaha Gray. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl lee Mitchell, their son Johnny Mitchell, sisters Marian, Helen and Cookie and brother James Gray. Survivors include her daughters, Rhonda LaPorte of Atlanta, GA and Debra Warford of Pensacola, FL, special granddaughter Lisa Diaz of Rosman and 5 other grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and brother Bill Gray of Hendersonville.
