It is with heavy hearts that we announced the passing of Leona Ashe Galloway, a beloved wife, mother,nanny, great nanny, neighbor and friend who went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2025 at the age of 79.

Leona is preceded in death by her father and mother Tom and Nina Ashe, two brothers and wife, Jame (Marcia), and Roy (Alene) Ashe and one nephew Chris Ashe.

She is survived by her beloved husband, JC of 58 years; daughter Carmella (Clarence) Raines;sons Derrick(Michelle) and Eric (Jan) Galloway; brother, John (BJ) Ashe;

grandchildren; Danielle (Will) Goulet, Clarence II(Katie) Raines, Austin(Jennifer) Galloway, Levi(Kenzie) Galloway, Riley Galloway, Jess(Shaylin) Nichols, Carver(Sarah) Nichols;

10 great grandchildren kids that will carry on her legacy. Nephew Brad & cousin Judy Ashe were her Bingo Buddies. She also leaves behind special nieces, nephews and very special cousins.

She retired from the Nutrition Department of Transylvania County School System.

The funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
