Leonard Wesley Fryer, age 91, of Brevard passed away Wednesday February 25, 2010. At Transylvania Regional Hospital he was born August 27, 1919 in Villisca Iowa to the late Manford Fryer and Edna Benware Fryer. Mr. Fryer retired from the U.S. Department of the Navy he was a veteran of the U.S. Army a member of the NARFE, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Brevard Elks Lodge 1716 a charter member of the Springfield United Methodist Church, Springfield VA. Survivors include his wife Lois Fryer of Brevard, one daughter Carol Sue Swanson and her husband Claude B. Swanson of Martinsville VA. two grandsons Michael Swanson of Danville Va. and David Swanson of Roanoke Va and two greatgrand sons Kevin Swanson and Patrick Layton Services will be held Monday March 1, 2010 at 10:00am at the North Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain with Rev. Markus Dodson officiating
