Obituary

Lillian Wilkerson Queen Bryson, 89, of Brevard joined our Heavenly Father Wednesday, September 26, 2012. She was born in South Hominy (Candler) to the late Willie Lester and Maggie Davis Wilkerson. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mildred W. Bryson. She was blessed to be married to the late Harrison W. Queen from 1944 to 1976 and the late William Sidney Bryson from 1980 to 1984. She was loved and adored by both. Mrs. Bryson graduated from Candler High School and worked as a Clerk/Typist for the U.S. Army at The Pentagon in Washington, D.C. during World War II. She also worked at Straus Elementary in the lunch room and later at Mitchell-Bissell until retirement. She was a devoted member of English Chapel United Methodist Church where she served on many committees. Survivors include two sons: David Queen of Brevard and Dick (Glenda) of Pisgah Forest; three granddaughters: Tina Street (Ken) and Terri Heatherly (James) of Hendersonville and Michelle Williamson (Lee) of Carrollton, Georgia; six great-grandsons: Jordan and Joshua Heatherly and Dalton Street of Hendersonville, Harley, Jackson and Cole Williamson of Carrollton, GA; and also several nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 2:00 P.M.at English Chapel United Methodist Church in Pisgah Forest with Rev. Lee Eakes officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial Contributions may be made to: English Chapel United Methodist Church, P.O.
