Obituary

Brevard - According to Scripture, Linda Hall Hogsed, 71, was ushered by Angels into the presence of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, January 22, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Earl Davis and Marjorie Ball Hall and was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 6 sisters. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bruce Hogsed; daughter, Tammy Hogsed of Nashville, TN; son, Daryle Hogsed and wife Michelle of Pisgah Forest; three grandchildren she loved more than anything, Grace, Helms, and Monroe Hogsed; brother; Bill Hall and wife Judy of Hendersonville; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Linda found joy in worshiping her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She found tremendous joy in serving the Lord, worshiping with fellow believers, singing praises, or teaching young people in Sunday School or VBS. She loved music and it filled her life. She blessed many people with her singing traveling all over the region with her husband and a gospel band singing praises to the Lord. After her health took her off the road, she still worshiped the Lord in song at church and at home. She was never afraid to take a stand for her faith or to share her testimony. She had a heartfelt desire to see everyone come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior because He had made a huge difference in her life. She loved her family dearly and was a devoted Wife and Mother. She was a wonderful cook and was renown for her chicken and dumplings, pinto beans and cornbread, heavenly fudge, and the watergate salad she took to nearly every family and church outing. She also enjoyed traveling and traveled to Canada, Hawaii, Mexico, Aruba, and all over the United States with her friends and her main traveling companion, her daughter, Tammy. Her family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Mission. Funeral services will be held 2pm, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Mission. Burial will follow the service in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. She often shared with her family that if they wanted to give her flowers to do so while she was living. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Mission, 100 Cemetery Road, Pisgah Forest, NC Online condolences may be left at www.moodyconnollyfuneralhome.com Moody-Connolly Funeral Home and Crematory are caring for the family.
