Lloyd C. Thomas of Lake Toxaway died April 4, 2011 at his residence he was born in Transylvania County to the late O'Neal and Norma Thomas in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Jean Thomas one brother James Melvin Thomas his first wife Lorraine and his second wife Bonnie and a great grandson Micheal Willard. Mr. Thomas was retired from LTV Steel Company and of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his loving companion Joan Wells of Lake Toxaway his children Carrolyn Lewis of Valparaiso Ind. Lloyd C. Thomas Jr. of Kady Tx, Cathy Thomas of Lake Toxaway, Stacey Baumgarner of Valparaiso Ind. and Carl Patrick Thomas and his wife Sally of Lake Village Ind. Brothers and sisters include Arthur and Ruby Thomas of Asheville, Josie Snipes of Rock Hill SC, Frances Cody of Saluda, Pauline and Bob Armstrong of Branchport NY, Pearline McCall of Pickens SC, Larry Thomas of Lake Toxaway, Bobby and Phyllis Thomas of Rosman, Hilda and Doug Barton of Cedar Mountain and Cecil and Dottie Thomas of Sugar Grove VA. Eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grand children. Funeral services will be held Saturday April 9, 2011 at 2:00pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Steve Boley, interment will follow at Whitmire Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00pm until 8:30pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
