Lois Ann Lance Mullenax, 78, of Brevard, won her long fought battle surrounded by family on October 6, 2021, the 15-year anniversary of her loss of her oldest son. She entered into Heaven rejoicing and praising God for her renewed sight and healed body. Our momma came into this world in the little house on Sam Lance Rd. and, after coming full circle, she left this world in the same spot that the old homeplace once stood that she loved so much. She was preceded in death by her sons, Tammy "Julio", Christian Lee, and Troy Mullenax; her parents, Sam and Ina Lance; her brothers, Red, Howard, Ralph, Henry, and Charles Lance; and her late husband, Bill Mullenax. She is survived by her daughters, Tonya Newman (Heith Lewis), Mona York (Ray); and her son, Keith Mullenax (Laurie); her brothers, Jody Lance (Hilda) of Mills River, Bill Lance (Marlene) of Brevard, Jack Lance (Jan) of Brevard; sister, Linda Bradley of Brevard; and all her babies she loved so much, 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild with another due in April 2022. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to her homecare nurse of so many years, Heather Quinn and her special friend and adopted family member, Bobbie Dunn. At her request, there will be no services but instead, a celebration of life to gather and tell stories, eat, and look at old pictures at a later date.
