Loretta Gail Jones
April 1, 1938 - February 26, 2026

Loretta Gail Henderson Jones, age 87, from Lake Toxaway, NC left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, February 26, 2026. She was born on April 1, 1938 to James and Lori Belle Henderson of Lake Toxaway, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Rhonda, two sons, Ronald and Randall; and two grandchildren, Bradley and Khristi Jones.

She leaves behind her children, Rose (Thomas) England, Rex (Cheri) Jones, Rance (Jaqie) Jones, and Stuart (Sandy) Jones. Her grandchildren Jacob (Shannon) Jones, Stephanie (David) Sutton, Jessica Jones, Coleen (Dustin) Crowe, Kacie England, Carley Jones, Keen (Tera) Jones, and Chloe Jones; and great-grandchildren Rhyland, Abby, and Laykn Jones, Andrew and Molly Sutton, Ivalee and Auldin Crowe, Sylvie Schallenberger, Peyton and Lincoln Jones, numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Gail loved to work outside in her yard and grew some of the most beautiful flowers around. She also enjoyed sewing and embroidering and made quilts for many of her grandchildren and family that will be treasured for years to come. Anyone you meet who grew up around Gail can tell you, she always had a meal and homemade biscuits ready for whoever was hungry. She was a caregiver through her entire life. Her smile could light up a room. Even during her last days, she had a joke to tell with that beautiful grin. She will be sorely missed, but we know she is walking streets of Gold!

Visitation will be at North Toxaway Baptist Church, Lake Toxaway, NC on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 am with service to follow at 12 noon. Internment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lake Toxaway, NC in a private ceremony at a later time. Moody-Connolly Funeral Home and Crematory in Brevard, NC is caring for the family.
