Lowee McCall, 100, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 29, 2024.

A native of Transylvania County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Rosa Kilpatrick Batson and the wife of the late Everette McCall.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Arnold and J.B. Batson, and two sisters, Beatrice Barton and Lola Mae Potter.

Mrs. McCall was a faithful member of Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir, teaching children, and serving others.

Her survivors include her son, Wallace McCall and wife Mary; two daughters, Gaynell Powell, and Jeanette Willis and husband Mark; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; loving nieces, nephews, special friends, and sweet caregivers.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Dellinger and Rev. Nate Whited officiating. Burial will be private.
