Lucille Moody Monteith Brevard – Lucille Moody Monteith, 77, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Nannie Sitton Moody. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Moody, and her grandson, Shane Franks. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving are her husband, Marvin "Spunk" Monteith of the home; daughters, Deborah Barr of Chilhowie, VA, and Kay M. Gray and husband Ron of Anchorage, AK; grandson, Zachary L. Gray of Anchorage; sister, Vera D. Moody of Etowah. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 30, 2010 in the Chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Owen officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
