Lynda McCall Stewart, age 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.
She was born on October 12, 1952, to Walter and Ella Mae McCall. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Cleon and Doug McCall; and her husband of 28 years, Odell Stewart.
Mrs. Stewart worked at Cashiers Plastics for 28 years and at Ingles for eight years.
She is survived by her children, Jeff and Cecilia Stewart of Cashiers; Linda and Leonard Bryson of Little Canada; and Patricia Palmer of Glenville and Granite Falls; grandchildren, Carl Bryson; Ginger and Jerry Whitman; April and Nathan DeBeve; Charity Stewart; and Samantha and Robin Holt; great-grandchildren, Addison and Zoey Whitman, Kira and Amira Holt, Lily Stewart, Alex Mabry, and Anna DeBeve, all of whom she adored; her three sisters, Wanda Henderson, Betty McKinney, and Helen Cornett of Brevard; and a host of cousins.
Lynda was a deeply loving, kind-hearted, and selfless woman whose gentle spirit touched everyone she met. She expressed her artistic creativity through the beautiful and intricate art of crocheting, carefully crafting heartfelt pieces for those she loved. Her warmth, generosity, and quiet strength will always be remembered.
She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
