Lyric Anne Livingston, 16, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, joined Jesus
and was made new and whole in the early morning hours of Friday, June 17, 2016. Her
final days and moments were spent surrounded by her family and friends that loved her
deeply.
Lyric was born March 7, 2000 in Greensboro, North Carolina and adopted
at birth by Matthew Scott and Jennifer Livingston. She was loved, served, and is
survived by brothers, Dreco, Jacoby, and Jairus; sisters, Jasmine and Marissa;
grandparents, Randy and Cheryl Heiny; uncle and aunt, Jeremy and Pauline Heiny, and
cousins, Joshua, Caleb, and Micah Heiny. Lyric is also survived by great grandparents,
aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, teachers, doctors, therapists, and caregivers that loved
and adored her.
Lyric enjoyed music, good food and being with her family and friends.
Attending church and worship excited her and she delighted in trips with her family to
Dollywood, Charleston, and the beach. She was a delightful child and very much
enjoyed hugs and being lovingly spoken to. Although Lyric suffered much in her life,
she was a cheerful girl who brought joy wherever she went. Her infectious smile
brightened rooms and her precious voice proclaiming "good" always conveyed
reassurance and hope to those around her. Her beauty was remarkable and she was a
blessing to all who knew and loved her. Lyric was a teacher; a teacher of patience, of
perseverance, of servanthood, of understanding, of compassion, of love, of enjoying
life's simple pleasures, and also of how to gently remove locks of hair from tightly
grasped fingers.
Lyric left a huge impact on the lives she had touched in her short 16 years.
Her life is a celebration of God's blessings, goodness and mercy. Please join her family
for a celebration of her life on Sunday afternoon, June 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Brevard
Community Church, 417 Morris Road, Brevard, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations of stuffed animals be given
to Transylvania County EMS at 101 S. Broad St., Brevard, North Carolina.
