Mabel Lucille Hall, 77, of Balsam Grove, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Mabel was born November 11th, 1948. A woman of devout faith and immense stubbornness, she enjoyed long conversations with her children, shopping, cookouts, and spending time with those she loved. For the family members she acquired through marriage, she loved them and treated them as though they were her very own. She was a longtime member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Edward “Eddie” Dennis Hall. Mabel and Eddie were high school sweethearts and one another's best friend and companion. Their picking on one another was a testament to their love and special relationship, and an example of a once-in-a-lifetime love.

Her legacy continues through her children: Denise Bailey (husband Rodney), Cindy Ayers (husband Rocky), and Dennis Hall (wife August). She was the proud “Nanny” of Hunter Hall (wife Kimberley), Creid Ayers (wife Alyssa), Elizabeth Bailey, Heidi Garren (husband Matthew), Matthew Bailey, Cassidy Bishop (husband Chase), and Hayden Hall (wife Claire). She was also the loving “Great-Nanny” to Katie-Ann Garren, Lucas Ayers, Brynleigh Hall, Jonah Garren, Connor Ayers, Judson Hall, and soon-to-be-born Alaina Ayers.

She has been reunited in Heaven with her brother Carrol McCall, and her parents Troy and Gladys McCall along with so many more in the faith who have gone before. Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 was her glorious homecoming.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday May 8th at Mack McCall Cemetery.
