Mabel B. Israel, 93, recently of Candler passed away Monday April 18, 2011. She lived in Brevard for sixty years with her husband J. Frank Israel who preceded her in death. Born in Gaithersburg, MD, she was the daughter of Howard M. Butt and Rebecca Heisler Butt. Preceding her in death was a sister and brother. She is survived by three children, Doug Israel, David Israel and Joan Israel Tate, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Carrs Hill Baptist Church where she was a member on Wednesday April 20, 2011. The family will receive friends at 1:30pm at the church, followed by the service at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at Pisgah Gardens.
